Oh hey, I was on The Fanfic Maverick Podcast!

This was...a pretty big deal!

What you may not know is that I have pretty severe anxiety! As in: actually quite bad anxiety. I'm scared (legitimately scared) of a lot of things. It has hindered me a lot in life. And I've been working really hard to face a lot of those fears and deal with my anxiety a lot more.

Last year I really faced those fears head on by appearing on the Snape Chat podcast! And I was so, so proud of myself because awkward, anxious me was doing something! A cool opportunity came my way and I took it! That was so huge!!

New places. New experiences. New people. I love them, but my goodness, do they terrify me!

And when it came to the Fanfic Maverick podcast, well...it came to me during a rough point. I had just come out of a really not-so-fun situation and was quite done with being brave, thank you very much. All I wanted to do was curl up in a corner under my blanket and hide forever.

But...

Well.

The Fanfic Maverick podcast is excellent and it was too good an opportunity to pass up! So I scrounged up what remained of my courage and...reached out for it.

So we agreed to do an episode and then...waited for months to actually record it. Which gave me time to become lax and get all anxious all over again by the time March rolled around! 😂

Anyway, I cringed at myself (as one does) but I'm still very proud! The podcast was such fun and ChaosBlue is a gem of a human and...well. I faced my fears. I did the scary thing. And that, my friends, is a win!
